Family: Loranthaceae (Mistletoe family).

Rare. It grows on Buloke e.g. at Carisbrook and Baringhup.

It is a hemi-parasite; it relies on the host plant for water and minerals, but has chlorophyll and is able to make its own sugars and other carbohydrates.

Identification:

  • its leaves are wire-like, resembling Buloke branches
  • it grows on Buloke.
