Common Rasp-fern - native (Blechnum parrisiae)
Family: Blechnaceae
Occurrence. Rare. The only known local specimen was found by Ian Higgins in a mine shaft at Vaughan in 1982.
Recognise by
- the fertile and barren fronds are similar in shape
- the lower leaflets are stalked and the upper leaflets are broad-based
- the stalk is rough, dark coloured and has dark coloured scales
- the spore cases are in two to four rows.
