Pointed Centrolepis - native (Centrolepis aristata)
Family: Centrolepidaceae (Centrolepis family).
Hairy Centrolepis is a tiny grass-like plant, that grows on wet soil e.g. on shallow depressions.
It is moderately common.
Identification:
- it grows to only a few centimetres high
- the long bracts extend upwards, surrounding the flowers.
It is seldom seen in drought years.
