Wiry Centrolepis - native (Centrolepis polygyna)
Family: Centrolepidaceae (Centrolepis family).
Wiry Centrolepis is a tiny grass-like plant, that grows on wet soil e.g. on shallow depressions.
It is uncommon.
Identification:
- It grows to only a few centimetres high
- the has numerous flowering stems and leaves, forming a dense cluster.
It is seldom seen in drought years.
