Hairy Centrolepis - native (Centrolepis strigosa)
Family: Centrolepidaceae (Centrolepis family).
Hairy Centrolepis is a tiny grass-like plant, that grows on wet soil e.g. on shallow depressions.
Identification
- It grows to only a few centimetres high
- the terminal flowers are hairy.
It has a general appearance of a tiny sedge. It is seldom seen in drought years.
Strigose: with stiff hairs.
