Desert Ash - introduced (Fraxinus angustifolia subsp. angustifolia)
Family: Oleaceae (Olive family).
Native of SW Asia and the Mediterranean region.
Other names: Narrow-leaved Ash
Occurrence: Scattered. There is an ash plantation on the east side of Mt Alexander.
- the leaves are divided with up to seven pairs of narrow, toothed leaflets
- the autumn leaves are yellow.
