Cut-leaf Goodenia - native (Goodenia pinnatifida)

Family: Goodeniaceae (Goodenia family).

Native.

Uncommon.

Identification:

• it is an erect or sprawling herb growing from a rosette of leaves
• the basal leaves are deeply divided into segments (and hence "cut-leaf")
• the long flower stalk usually has a pair of small leaves along the stalk
• the flowers are bi-laterally symetrical.

Cut-leaf Goodenia can be confused with Spur Velleia (Velleia paradoxa). The basal leaves of Spur Velleia are toothed but not deeply incised.
