Varied Raspwort - a native (Haloragis heterophylla)

Family: Haloragaceae (Raspwort family).

Native of Australia.

Occurrence: Most common in drainage lines.

Identification:

• it is an erect slender herb to about 30cm high
• the leaves are narrow with usually a single narrow lobe
• the flowers are small and not showy.

It differs from the raspworts (Gonocarpus) in that Haloragis has one-seeded fruit. It differs from Rough Raspwort (Haloragis asper) in its more slender habit, and the single lobe on each side of the leaves,
