Swamp Club-rush - a native (Isolepis inundata)

Family: Cyperaceae (Sedge family).

Uncommon.

Native of Australia, NZ and South America.

Occurrence: Shallow swamps and damp areas.

Identification:

• the leaves are few or absent, to about 10cm long
• the flowers are in clusters, and often new clusters grow from the existing clusters
• there is a single floral bract, longer than the flower clusters.
