Juncus semisolidus - native
Family: Juncaceae (Rush family).
Occurrence: Uncommon.
Identification:
- it is a tall rush with broad (4mm or more) culms
- the pith is continuous for most of the stem, except for air spaces in the upper part of the stem
- the stems are dull green
- the culms have 60-120 striations.
The air spaces in the upper part of the stems distinguish this rush from Pale Rush, which has continuous pith.
