Common Beard-heath - native (Leucopogon virgata)
Family: Ericaceae (Erica family).
Native.
Occurrence: Common and widespread.
Identification:
- it has a low spreading shrub to about 30cm high
- the veins in the leaf are more or less parallel to the main vein
- it has clusters of small white tube flowers
- the insides of the petals are furry.
leuco: white; pogon a beard, referring to the bearded petals.
