Family: Lamiaceae (Mint family).

Native.

Occurrence: Grows on stream banks and swamps.

Identification:

• the flowers are bunched along the stem, growing at the leaf bases
• the flowers are white (or pink) on very short stalks
• the leaves are paired, and well-separated
• the leaves are narrow, green (or purplish) and not toothed.
