Sweet Pittosporum - introduced (*Pittosporum undulatum)

Family: Pittosporaceae (Pittosporum family).

Native of South-eastern Australia.

Occurrence: Uncommon weed in Central Victoria.

Identification:

• it is a small tree
• it has creamy-white, scented flowers
• the leaves are shiny with a wavy edge
• the fruit is an orange berry.

Sweet Pittosporum is a prolific and very troublesome weed in wetter gullies and bushland e.g. in the Mornington Peninsula, and in the Western District.
