Tender Brake - native (Pteris tremula)
Family: Pteridaceae
Native of Australia, New Zealand, and Polynesia.
Occurrence: Rare locally. It has been recorded at Barkers Creek, Coliban park, Coliban Falls and Barfold.
Identification:
- it a tender fern (compared to bracken)
- the fronds are pale green
- the ultimate leaflets are relatively narrow
- the spores are continuous at the edges of the leaflets.
