Arum Lily- introduced (*Zantedeschia aethiopica)

Family: Araceae.

Occurrence: Rare locally. It is a weed of wetter areas e.g. gullies.

Native to southern Africa.

Identfication:

• the fleshy leaves are shaped like an arrow head
• the flower is a yellow spike
• the central flower is surrounded by a white-coloured floral leaf; this looks like a large petal.
