Family: Orchidaceae (Orchid family).

Native of Eastern Australia and New Zealand.

Occurrence: Very common.

Identification:

Pink Fingers is similar to the very common Dusky Caladenia. It differs in that Dusky Caladenia has forward pointing triangular lobes on the labellum. Dusky Caladenia also flowers earlier than Pink Fingers.

Name. Caladenia: Greek callos = beauty; aden = a gland, referring to the disc on the tongue; carnea: flesh coloured.
