Dusky Caladenia - native (Caladenia fuscata)

Family: Orchidaceae (Orchid family).

Native of Vic, NSW, QLD and ACT.

Occurrence: Very common.

Identification:

• it may be deep pink, pink or almost white
• the column and labellum have transverse bars
• it has a single slender leaf
• the labellum has a forward pointing, almost triangular extension.

Pink Fingers is similar to Dusky Caladenia. It differs in that Dusky Caladenia has forward pointing triangular lobes on the labellum. Dusky Caladenia also flowers earlier than Pink Fingers.
