Downy Dodder-laurel - a native (Cassytha pubescens)
Family: Lauraceae (Laurel family).
Native.
Rare. Recorded by A.C. Beauglehole for Fryers Ridge. I have not seen it growing locally.
Identification:
- the plant is a climbing plant, twining through shrubs
- it is more robust than Slender Dodder-laurel and less robust than Coarse Dodder-laurel
- the twining stems attach themselves to the supporting plant by suckers
- the stems and fruit are covered with short downy hairs.
