Midge Orchids - native (Corunastylis species)

Family: Orchidaceae (Orchid family).

Identification:

• they are small slender orchids
• they flower in autumn
• the flowers are generally dark coloured
• the lateral sepals are upturned
• the flowers are not hairy.
  

This orchid does not yet have a formal scientific name. The temporary name shows that it has affinities to Corunastylis rufum.
