Slaty Helmet Orchid - native (Corybas incurvus)
Family: Orchidaceae (Orchid family).
Native of South-eastern Eastern Australia.
- the flowers are dark and small, resembling rabbit droppings
- the flowers grow from a single leaf.
Very rare in this district, or rarely recorded.
Name. Corybas: Greek for a dancing priest of Phrygia. The reason for using this name is not obvious.
