Parsons Bands (Eriochilus cucullatus)
Family: Orchidaceae (Orchid family).
Native of Eastern Australia.
It is a common and widespread autumn-flowering orchid.
It is easily recognised:
- it flowers in autumn
- it has conspicuous white or pink lateral sepals, which resemble an old-fashioned parson's bands.
