Wild Gladiolus - introduced (*Gladiolus undulatus)
Family: Iridaceae. (Iris family)
Native to South Africa
Occurrence: Uncommon. It is an environmental weed in some higher-rainfall districts.
Identification:
- it has narrow strap-shaped leaves that are slightly longer than the flower stalks
- the white to cream flowers have rather narrow petals with wavy edges
- the petals are v-shaped at the base.
