Notch-leaf Sea-lavender - introduced (*Limonium sinuatum)
Other names: Perennial Sea-lavender.
Family: Plumbaginaceae.
Native of the Mediterranean region.
Occurrence: A garden or cemetery escape, usually found on roadsides. In some parts of Victoria it is now becoming abundant.
Identification:

- the leaves form wings along the stems
- the flowers are blue to purple and often have a white centre.
Similar species: Notch-leaf Sea-lavender is a perennial. The annual
Winged Sea-lavender (
Limonium lobatum) is a weed of Mallee areas. It has pale blue flowers.
