Chaff Weed - a weed (*Lysimachia minima)

Other names: Formerly Anagallis minima.

Family: Primulaceae (Primula family).

Native of Europe.

Occurrence: Rare. Grows on damp sites e.g. Mt Alexander.

Identification:

• it is a small plant
• the leaves alternate along the stem and are oval to oblong.
• the flowers are tiny and white to pink.

I have not seen this species. The record is from A.C. Beauglehole, 1981.
