This group is not always clearly defined. Occasionally there will be a branched flower stalk.

Microlaena stipoides Weeping Grass weeping grass
Grass with a very slender flower cluster. Glumes tiny. Leaves green. Moderately common.
Glyceria australis Australian Sweet-grass. sweet grass
Spikelets with 5-12 lemmas, glumes much shorter than the spikelets. Tall wetland grass. Rare.
Rytidosperma racemosum Striped Wallaby-grass. wallaby grass
Lemma with two lobes and with an awn from cleft. Lemmas with three incomplte rows of hairs. Callus over 1.5mm long. Common.
