Silky Daisy-bush - native (Olearia myrsinoides)
Family: Asteraceae (Daisy family).
Native.
Occurrence: Rare. Recorded for Fryers Ridge at Elphinstone and at Lauriston.
Identification:
- it is a shrub to about a metre high
- the leaves are oval and toothed
- the leaves are dark green above and felted-white below
- the flowers have only a few (often 2) large ray-florets, appearing as a two-petalled daisy.
The few large petals make this an easily recognised daisy.
