Stiff Geebung- native (Persoonia rigida)

Family: Proteaceae (Protea family).

Native.

Occurrence: Scattered and moderately common throughout the Castlemaine forests. It is seldom abundant.

Identification:

• it is a shrub, resembling a Downy Grevillea, but with larger leaves
• like Downy Grevillea the leaves are softly hairy and somewhat curled backwards
• fruit are round and berry-like
• the flowers are small and yellow.
