Stiff Geebung- native (Persoonia rigida)

Family: Proteaceae (Protea family).
Native.
Occurrence: Scattered and moderately common throughout the Castlemaine forests. It is seldom abundant.
Identification:
- it is a shrub, resembling a Downy Grevillea, but with larger leaves
- like Downy Grevillea the leaves are softly hairy and somewhat curled backwards
- fruit are round and berry-like
- the flowers are small and yellow.
