Hairy Solenogyne - a local native (Solenogyne gunnii)
Family: Asteraceae (Daisy family).
Identification:
- the leaves are in a basal rosette
- the leaves are finely toothed with 3-13 teeth
- the leaves are hairy
- the flowers are button flowers on short stalks with flowerheads 3-7 mm being diameter.
Similar species: Solenogyne dominii has smooth leaves with more teeth (15-21).
Lagenifera huegelii also has basal leaves and button flowers but stalks are long and slender in comparison.
