Native to SE Australia.
Family: Asteraceae (Daisy family).
Occurrence: Scattered bushland plant. It has rather insignificant flowers and could readily be overlooked.

Similar species:
Solenogyne gunnii has hairy leaves which have only 9-13 teeth. This species grows mainly south of the Divide.
Coarse Bottle-daisy (Lagenifera huegelii) also has button flowers but has long slender flower stalks.
